Industry Accreditations and Compliance
We are corporate members of the Recruitment and Employment Confederation (REC), the governing body for the recruitment industry. Receiving daily updates from the REC advising on issues such as employment law, new government legislation, salary scales and key industry developments allows Proactive to stay ahead of the game.
We are also members of the Federation for Small Businesses (FSB), the UK’s leading organisation seeking fair treatment of small businesses throughout the UK.
We are active members of the Gangmasters Licensing Authority (GLA), the government body founded to protect workers from exploitation in agriculture, horticulture, shellfish gathering and food processing and packaging. We achieved our licence in June 2006 and have been compliant in this practice since September 2005 when we invited an external body to examine our procedures.
Our unique reference with the GLA is PROA0001 and our certificate can be supplied upon request or by visiting the GLA website.
Understanding Your Business
It is important that we understand your business and your recruitment requirements from our first point of contact. We like to conduct a site visit where we can meet your key personnel and appraise your needs.
Our highly experienced staff coupled with powerful industry specific software means we can search and select only the best possible candidates specific to your recruitment requirements.
If we do not have a suitable candidate within our current database and we are unable to satisfy your requirement immediately, we will disclose our position. If your requirement is less urgent we can conduct a bespoke search and selection campaign.
This includes creating a suitable advertisement across selected media channels, managing initial responses, interviewing candidates, checking references and carrying out in depth assessments by one of our experienced consultants.
Ongoing Support After Placement
When we place a candidate it does not signal the end of our relationship.
Once a candidate is placed we aim to assist you in any way we can. You may require extra candidates at short notice or seek up to the minute employment advice. Whichever the case, you can always reach one of our consultants 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

Accurate Payroll and Transparent Billing
We place strong emphasis on remunerating candidates the correct amount and on time.
We manage and payroll all candidates internally in compliance with HMRC regulations. Client timesheets are issued for completion in accordance with your specified requirements, and we can provide costings for your financial records along with weekly invoices in the format you request.
Unlike many recruitment companies, we are not factored by a financial institution and conduct all account activity internally, from general invoice queries through to accepting payments.
